There’s a new railway boom in Australia. One of the largest projects is the Inland Rail. It’s a freight line joining Melbourne and Brisbane through regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
It’s a big project and it needs all kinds of people with all kinds of skills to help build this once-in-a-generation project. Up to 16,000 jobs will be created.
Inland Rail needs highly skilled people, from project managers, document controllers to surveyors and environmental scientists. They also need local businesses to help supply materials and feed the rail crew.
How do I get involved?
The first roll out of the project is from Parkes to Narromine in New South Wales. You can search jobactive.gov.au and type in Inland Rail as a keyword. You can also search jobs through the Inland Rail recruitment site.
Any tips on getting a job on the railway?
